Circa 1908/09 1 1/2" x 2 5/8" match safe with a composite celluloid photo of the Detroit Tigers, including each and every star from Ty Cobb, Sam Crawford, Hughie Jennings, right on down the roster, even Frank Navin is included. Banners within the composite stating "Champions of American League 1907" and Champions of American League 1908". The opposite side of the match safe carrying a large ad for Mundus Beer West Side Brewery Co. Detroit Michigan. The case showing consistent light overall wear with some foxing to the celluloid, the all important very early image of Cobb being free of any detriments. A scarce and quite popular piece of Tigers history.
