1909 Ramly Cigarettes card of HOF Pitcher Walter Johnson, Washington A. L.. Considered to be his Rookie Baseball card, postcard issues not withstanding. SGC 40, a very nice front for the grade, probably appears a grade higher. The back having some soiling and a dark spot at two corner tips, some of which might even be removable.
Recent sales of T204 Johnson's, which are not all that often, have seen this card continue to escalate in price. Rookie HOFers are once again very hot, especially when it's of a player inducted in the first year of the Hall's formation. T204 Johnson's grading Ex or higher are now becoming quite expensive, perhaps the time to acquire one for a lesser price is now, before the rising tide brings all grades up to new highs.
