Four different 1880's Base Ball Scorecard covers. Each with a very nice litho of a comical baseball play. Three Boston cards with "Styel is Everything" Three Strikes and Out" and "Follow the Ball"(depicting Hoss Radbourne). The Boston players listed inside are highlighted by Radbourne, among other local hero's of the day. The forth cover is an 1885 Score Card cover entitled "A Good Pick Up", published by Wm. H. Josselyn, Brigeport, CT. The back is one half of a score card from a game between Bridgeport and one of the other three teams in the Southern New England League most likely. A quick glance of the Bridgeport players reveal more than one that saw action in the majors during the 1880's/90's. The fronts display quite nicely, as do the score cards, save for a few small paper pulls on the scored side, most likely from scrapbook display.
A group that would make very nice display pieces.
